The Veterans of Foreign Wars hosts public fairs, dinners, parades, etc.
The Quartzsite Historical Society manages the local museum and meets in the Quartzsite city library. Admission to the museum is free but donations are accepted and helpful. Parking in the back.
They also have field trips which are interesting and provide more than just going on your own.

We have a recreation hall with daily activities, shuffleboard, library, RV wash, oil change station, propane, and a dog walk and ‘off leash’ area. We also have top-notch lapidary (stone cutting and polishing) equipment available for guest use with weekly classes.
Our attractive, clean sites are in high demand during the balmy ‘snowbird’ season. Each of our spacious sites offer electricity, water, sewer, internet, and cable. Majestic palm trees add splendor and fruit trees ripe with juicy orange, tangello, and grape fruits welcome you with the sunrise each morning at 88 Shades RV Park.
Look for the dangling fish. Sites are very tight and there are many permanent residents but they have a good winter deal and fun clubhouse activities.
