For those not in Quartzsite yet, two semis caught fire at the Pilot station on October 8th causing Main street to close in the area for a short time. Both vehicles appear to be a total loss and the station suffered some damage but no one was hurt. Main St. is now open as is the station and the McDonald’s next door.
One of the biggest car shows in the southwest started today in Lake Havasu City. Last year there were over 700 classic cars and trucks to view. The show will continue through Sunday.
Friday starts the Colorado River Regional Crisis Shelter Autumn (domestic violence) Awareness Festival with food, fun, and dancing. Free tickets available at CRRCS office and the Parker Chamber of Commerce or $10 at the gate. Music starts at 7pm. No outside food or drinks allowed.
